Oroville State Theater
Is Available For:

Plays, Bands, Movies, Fashion Shows, Musicals, and even Pageants and Meetings.

 

The Historic State Theater of Oroville is located at 1489 Myers Street, in Downtown Historical Oroville.

INTRODUCTION
      The City of Oroville is proud to welcome you to the "City of Gold's" meeting place. A professional staff is ready to assist you to insure a successful event.

RENTAL POLICY
      Our policy is to accommodate all qualified applicants, fitting their needs to our facility. Classification and rental fees will be determined by the Theater Manager according to the existing Rental Schedule.

BOOKING POLICY
      The renter shall pay to the City of Oroville an advance deposit, a sum equal to half the rental fee when booking the facility. The rental fee is due ten
working days prior to the event.


INSURANCE
     Renter shall be required to maintain in full force and effect during Renters use of the State Theater, bodily injury, personal injury and property damage insurance. Said coverage shall not be less than $1,000,000 single limit. A certificate of insurance or copy of insurance certificate shall be filed in the theater office with the Theater Manager. Insurance must state that the City of Oroville and their officers, agents, employees and servants are added as additionally insureds for this event:

FLAMMABLE MATERIAL
     No flammable material such as bunting tissue paper, crepe paper, etc. will be permitted to be used for decorations, and all materials used for decorative purposes must be treated with flame proofing and approved by Fire Department. Any pyrotechnics included in any stage presentation, performance, or activity of any kind must be approved in advance by the Fire Department.

Theater use fees
$75 per hour (4 hours minimum)
Plus janitorial fee of $25 per hour (3 hours minimum)

Stage Hands, lighting and sound technicians,
available at 11$ per hours, (2 hours minimum)
