Welcome to the Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce's

- Oroville translates from Spanish to City
of Gold. Oroville was originally a Boom Town in the 1800's.
Oroville is full of history, including an 1863 Chinese Temple,
Lott Home, murals of Ishi the last Yahi Indian of the area plus
much more.
- Oroville has many opportunities for Outdoor
recreation. Fishing, Hiking, Camping, exploring, Oroville
has it all. Home to Lake Oroville and its 167 miles of
shore line, that was created by the Oroville Dam (the tallest
Earthen Dam in the Nation)
- Oroville's Community Spirit really shines
when you come to anyone of our many annual events. Take
a look at Feather Fiesta Days (A week long celebration), 4th
of July Fireworks over the lake, our September Salmon Festival,
Old Fashioned Christmas, or any of our other community events.
